Welcome, Joshua
Everything you need to understand WedgeKit, your role, and how we're validating 150 business ideas simultaneously.
OnboardingWhat Is WedgeKit?
WedgeKit is an idea validation platform. It takes an entrepreneur from "I don't know what business to build" all the way to "here are validated business ideas with real people ready to buy."
The big idea: instead of guessing what business to start, let the market tell you. We generate 150 business ideas, put each one in front of real people, and see which ones get traction. Winners become real businesses. Losers get recycled and sold.
Think of it like auditioning 150 bands at once and signing whichever ones the crowd goes crazy for.
The website: wedgekit.com — the central hub with dashboard, assessment tools, reports, and tracking for all 150 idea sites.
The 10 Phases
Phase 1: IEP Assessment (Ideal Entrepreneur Profile)
What: A 57-question deep assessment covering personality, values, expertise, risk tolerance, work style, life story, and vision.
Why: You can't match someone with the right business without understanding who they are. This draws from real psychology frameworks (Big Five, Enneagram, Ikigai). Takes about an hour.
Output: An "Entrepreneur DNA" profile — a detailed map of strengths, blind spots, expertise, and energizers vs. drainers.
Your role: None (already complete). But everything downstream flows from this assessment.
Phase 2: Alignment Scoring
What: Carey (the AI agent) analyzes the IEP across 10 dimensions: Zone of Genius, Deep Expertise, Psychological Profile, Core Values, Anti-Patterns, Constraints, Founder Advantages, Target Income, Work Style, and Legacy Vision.
Output: A DNA profile document that Edwin reviews and confirms.
Your role: None (already complete).
Phase 3: ICP Development (Ideal Customer Profile)
What: Based on Edwin's DNA profile, 10-15 customer profiles generated. Edwin picked his top 5:
- Burned-Out Tech Executives (95% fit)
- Physician Entrepreneurs (92% fit)
- Midlife Men Seeking Optimization (88% fit)
- Corporate Wellness Program Leaders (79% fit)
- AI-Powered Health Enthusiasts (87% fit)
Your role: Understanding these ICPs is critical for your social media and community work. You'll be posting where these people hang out.
Phase 4: Pain Point Research
What: For each ICP, real problems researched across Reddit, Twitter, Amazon reviews, Quora, forums, app stores, and Google Trends.
Why: We find people literally saying "I wish someone would build..." — that's gold. 150 pain points documented with direct quotes and sources.
Your role: Recognizing these pain points in real conversations helps you engage authentically.
Phase 5: Competitor Analysis
What: For each problem space, mapping who's already solving it, pricing, customer sentiment, and — most importantly — what gaps exist.
Your role: When you encounter competitor products in the wild, flag them.
Phase 6: Idea Generation
What: 150 business ideas — 10 per ICP × 15 ICPs. Each sits at the intersection of: Edwin's strengths + validated pain point + competitive gap.
Important: Every idea is a SaaS business (recurring revenue). Edwin is the OWNER, not the OPERATOR.
Example: "Brain Fog Decoder" — AI-powered diagnostic platform for midlife men with cognitive decline. $149-$299/month.
Phase 7: Landing Page Deployment
What: Each of 150 ideas gets its own landing page on a wedgekit.com subdomain. Each looks like an independent startup — unique logo, colors, branding.
Pages collect: first/last name, email, state, city, field of employment, and 5 idea-specific survey questions.
Status: All 153 sites are live (150 ideas + 3 legacy sites) on Vercel.
🎯 The Magic Number: 15 Conversions
When any idea gets 15 completed surveys, it triggers deep analysis. Those 15 responses get enriched into a "Perfect ICP Avatar" — a crystal-clear picture of exactly who wants this product, what they'll pay, and what words they use.
Phase 8: Traffic Generation
Three simultaneous approaches:
- Tier 1 — SEO & Content (Free, Automated): SEO-optimized pages, blog posts via 5 umbrella brands (Vitalize Labs, ClearMind Health, MedLaunch, CriticalPath, NarrativeWell). Takes 4-8 weeks.
- Tier 2 — Community Engagement (YOU! 🎯): Value-first posts in Reddit, forums, social media. 100 organic seeding posts pre-written. Results in days.
- Tier 3 — Paid Ads ($100–$2K/month): Facebook, Google, Reddit ads. Results in hours.

Phase 9: Analytics
Continuous monitoring of all 150 sites. Auto-promote winners (CTR >3%, cost per lead <$5). Auto-pause losers (zero signups after $30 spent). Weekly report to Edwin.
Phase 10: Handoff & Beyond
Winning ideas get handed to specialized AI agents: Product Agent (MVP), Marketing Agent (scale), Sales Agent (revenue). Losers get sold on Flippa ($500-$5,000 each). Zero waste.
Your Role: The Human Bridge
- Account Management — Creating, verifying, maintaining social media accounts
- Content Posting — Publishing content that Carey drafts
- Community Engagement — Joining conversations, being helpful (not sales-y)
- Manual Tasks — CAPTCHAs, phone verifications, platform requirements
- Quality Control — Flagging broken sites or opportunities
- Reporting — What's working and what's not
Golden rule: Be genuinely helpful first. The link to our landing page is secondary. People can smell spam a mile away.
